Welcome to Tallinn Bun Fest 2025!

Every year a few weeks before Shrove Tuesday, cafés in Tallinn start selling the vastlakukkel – a soft bun filled with whipped cream and occasionally also jam or marzipan. Many cafés have let their creativity loose and are offering Shrove Berliners, Shrove croissants and even Shrove gelato!

Tallinn Bun Fest takes place from February 14th until Shrove Tuesday, March 4. This year 16 cafés in Tallinn have pledged to participate in the festivities, baking delicious Shrove buns for us all to enjoy.
