Town Hall Pharmacy
The 600-year-old pharmacy – one of the oldest permanently operating pharmacies in Europe – is located in the heart of the Old Town, on the edge of the Town Hall Square. In medieval Tallinn, the Town Hall Pharmacy was more than just a place to sell medicine. Townsmen, merchants and other dignified citizens of the city gathered here with their guests to drink the pharmacy’s special spiced wine and make plans. Over the centuries, the function and appearance of the pharmacy have changed, but the scent of the past lingers. In the museum you can see 17th-20th century pharmacy supplies and medieval medicines as well as buy the famous spiced wine, marzipan, tinctures, ointments and oils, herbal teas and much more.

In the former east wing of the monastery you can visit the archaic living and working spaces of monks, explore old stone carvings and contemporary art exhibitions.
