Museum of Photography

The Museum of Photography, located behind Tallinn's Town Hall, is a museum and gallery in an exciting medieval prison building. In addition to contemporary photo exhibitions, you can see ancient wooden and iron cameras and historical images.

The permanent exhibition features a composite portrait of an Estonian photographer, a photographer with a camera from the mid-19th century to the present day.

The Museum of Photography exhibitions focus on a particular theme each year. Check out current exhibitions on our website.
